Suzanne Somers

Although a bit late…….I would like to take this time to acknowledge the passing of a friend and honor a patriot colleague, Ms. Suzanne Somers.

Suzanne will likely be most remembered as the comedic “blonde bombshell” in her film role as Chrissy Snow in the 1970’s series Three Is Company. Others will associate her with the “Thigh Master” and the baby boomers will relive her brief but unforgettable appearance in “American Graffiti” as the mysterious blonde driving the 1956 T-Bird.

America, we have lost a major supporter and advocate for Healthcare Choice.  Her impact on previously “uninformed” medical consumers has changed the lives of millions through her lectures, workshops, books and guest appearances.  Her personal experiences and testimonials through interviewing doctors including myself, have made so many people aware that they truly have options when it comes to their health and that you need to be your own best healthcare provider through being an educated consumer. She encouraged asking questions, demanding answers and explanations and obtaining second and third opinions.  Her most notable contribution was surely through her awareness of the value of Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy (BHRT), a therapy that she herself used for over two decades.

Suzanne, you are not only be missed by your family, friends and colleagues, you are missed by the hundreds if not thousands of medical practitioners and millions of patients who credit you for helping promote Integrative Medicine and its multiple subspecialties such as BHRT, Anti-aging, and adjunctive therapies for chronic illness such as infections, autoimmune diseases and cancer.  Your job is complete but your words, memories, inspiration and legend will live on forever.

My final tribute to you my friend will be living out our goals discussed at our last conversation.  For those of you who are not privy to this, enlighten yourself by searching the web at :  www.foreverhealth.com › blogs › forever-healthSit-Down with Dr. Mark Bartiss | ForeverHealth.com

“My goal is like yours”. “I want to be able to provide all patients everywhere with these complementary and alternative services. Everybody who needs it and everybody who wants it. Suzanne, you’ve done a great job in informing all these people, the problem is there are not enough practitioners providing it. So, my goal is to train as many physicians as I can to change how health care is given in America, whether that be one patient, one physician, one condition, one life or one day at a time!!!

To your Family, Friends, Colleagues and Fellow Worshipers, I am Respectfully, Fraternally and Eternally Yours in Health,

Mark J. Bartiss
